This past Saturday Operation Education Animal Rescue held a Meet & Greet at three different locations.
Jake was able to attend; when he arrived at our local Petsmart he was so happy to be out and about that he didn’t even notice me when I was handed his leash and walked him to our spot. He looked great, and he behaved wonderfully!
I may be a bit biased, but I’d say he was the star! Out of the three rescues that were holding an adoption event or meet & greet at that location, he was the calmest, and best behaved dog there, nothing phased him!
He politely greeted everyone that came to see him, and immediately showed them how much of a cuddle-bug he is.
He was having so much fun meeting new people and smelling new things that the four-hour event was over before we knew it.
It was hard saying goodbye to Jake as he was being loaded up into the Operation Education van, but I am happy that he’s doing so well and adjusting to life at Operation Education.
It’s still to early to tell if he met that special family or not, but here’s hoping that he’ll find his furever soon.
In the meantime, if you are interested in helping; Operation Education is always looking for fosters and is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization that operates solely on donations. Please visit their website: www.opedanimalrescue.com for more information.
